Bus to the resort | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

Hello, again. How far is it to the resort and are there washrooms on the bus? Do I have time to go before the bus leaves?Oh man I can’t wait. Am off for a month but only doing Panama for two weeks. Wish it was the whole monththanks for any upcoming suggestions and info thanks for all the help you guys have given me
Hi Brenda:No washrooms on the bus. It’s going to be at least two hours until you get to the resort from the airport. Reason being is that the bus stops on the way at Pappassitos Bar & Grill. Here is where you can line up to go to the washroom (usually there is a long line for the woman’s washroom) . You can also pick up a cold drink here and even something to eat. There will be plenty of time for you to go to the washroom at the airport. There is a small washroom in the area where you pick up your luggage. I am sure there is one when you walk out of that area.

Thank you. How many times have you been to Panama?
Is there a city tour? Have you been to the Gamboa resort/

Hi Brenda:We have been to Panama three times. Everytime to Royal Decameron. We hired a taxi to take us on a city tour and to the locks. There is an organized tour available.Never been to the Gamboa resort, but after looking at theponder’s pictures – who knows?

Thanks for the info. Just one more question. What can I bring back for souvenirs? I was looking a baskets and walking sticks. Can I bring these back without any trouble? What else?

Brenda:I just pulled out some information that we received on our past trip to Panama (January/February). There is a tour – City Tour & Canal that you can go on. They go on Thursday and Friday only, 8am to 7pm – $65US/adult.

hi, sorry to butt in, i’ll be searching for the tagua nut carvings!

We took a taxi from the Decapolis Hotel in Panama City – $ 10/hr.The organized tours all are great, but if you really want to see Panama City , you will see a lot in a couple of hours. The tour to Colon and return by the Panama Railroad to Panama City is worth a look.

I miss my " ceviche "- will have to return soon.

hi sunbud, so you just went to the front of the hotel and how did you set up the 10 taxi tour? oh and okayi’ll bite….

what’s a ceviche??? and do i want/need one

Oh- ceviche- yummy!!!!!! It’s always on my list of things to eat while in Panama. (Along with white cheese, columbian hot dogs and arroz con pollo!!!!!) My friend that I stay with in the city, her father makes the best ceviche. I can’t wait to get there next week!!!

Not long now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just asked a taxi driver in front of the hotel how much he would charge to drive us around the city- $ 10 / hr- seemed more than reasonable. ( Sept./06 )
" Ceviche " is raw fish chopped up and marinated in lime juice with onions. Tastes better than it sounds if you like seafood.

okay thanks, since my days on countin down, this sounds like a new thread!!!
