Arrival: December 28 – January 3 Upon our arrival at the airport, it was actually quite quick to get to the hotel, seeing as it was only a couple minutes away. The only thing that surprised me was the fact that the luggage was all being taken by a van, which seemed very sketchy. As we arrived at the hotel, we were served some champagne and cold towels, which were actually quite refreshing.
Rooms:
The rooms, despite what other posters said, were actually quite nice, although the view wasn’t the greatest. (Although, they did at least provide the promised ocean view.)
Restaurants and Bars:
The only thing I have to say, the restaurants were horrendous, while the bars were average – good. The restaurants: practically the same thing over and over fro breakfast, lunch was varied, but always very dry, and dinner was just terrible. Never any seafood, despite being beside the sea, and the Asian restaurant, Silk, not the greatest, while the Italian one, Bellagio, was great! My kids loved it. The bars were varied, but really, only 2 were used by us.
Beach/Pools/Grounds:
The pools were okay, not the greatest, but not the worst. The beach was just horrible. There was seaweed everywhere and it was always too windy.
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
The tours were actually pretty good. The one tour I recommend is the Discover St. Lucia one. It covers all of the important places of interest and is quite interactive as well.
