Rooms: The rooms were very basic but clean. All rooms had an ocean view. We stayed on the top floor which had a fabulous view of the ocean. Hot water is heated by solar power so there were some mornings where the water was lukewarm but by the afternoon it was hot. Restaurants and Bars: We ate at the resort twice and the food was excellent. If you don’t want to eat at the resort there are many restaurants and bars around the area that are within walking distance. Breakfast is included but the choice of food is limited. The french toast is great. Beach/Pools/Grounds: The pool is small but it was well maintained. The staff cleaned the beach every day so there was no seaweed on the beach. The beach is well treed so there is always a place in the shade to lounge if you don’t want to sit in the sun. There is a breakwall in front of the resort so the swimming is good. You can snorkel around the rocks in front of the resort and see a number of different fish. Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel: We went on an island tour with Ted’s Tours. It was fantastic. Ted has a wonderful sense of humour and is very knowledgeable about the island. If you don’t want to go on a guided tour, you can take the local bus to anywhere on the island for $1.50 barbados dollars. Other Comments: The resort is on a busy street so there is traffic noise but it isn’t too bad. There are numerous stairs at this resort so if you have mobility problems this is not the resort for you. There is a beautiful boardwalk close to the resort that takes you to the St. Lawrence Gap.

If you want luxury this is not the resort for you, but if you want a clean place to stay that is close to everything this is the place.
