We have been asked more money because of a delay of 1h and 50 minute in the check out. Never happened to me in any hotel of the world. And I travel a lot. Also receptionist were very aggessive and unpleasant. I feel not happy with iberostar and have doubt if using again it in the future. Asked me 10 cuc per hour more when I spent 600 cuc for 2 nights is out of nay commercial logic and it’s offensive.

Furthermore the doorman said the wheel of our car was damaged. He said he would take care of it. after 20 mintues he gave me the key back saying the tyre was repaired. After a few hours it went down again. He had just inflated it and not reapired. and asked 10 CUC for it. Is this a 4 stars hotel or a bunch of bandit ?

When you book only one night they put you on the front rooms which are extremely noisy.

The good thing about this hotel is the service. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is comfortable and very clean. However, for the price, there are very few facilities. There is no pool, and absolutely nowhere at all to sit out of doors and enjoy a drink. The renovations have been carried out to a bland international formula with no Cuban style or character. The brilliant local light is blocked out everywhere, and around 1000 light bulbs are on in the public areas all day and most of the night. It’s an environmental nightmare and rather claustrophobic.

A friend and I spent two nights at the Iberostar in early November 2007. We found it a delightful place to stay with very helpful staff. It is not a riot of local colour but is a luxurious town centre hotel where it is a relief to retreat to after a hard day’s sightseeing or evening’s bar hopping. Altogether very comfortable and in easy walking distance of most places you would want to go to in Trinidad – museums, sights, restaurants, nightclubs etc. And it has a pleasant restaurant and bar itelf. It does not have a swimming pool but I would not expect that in a hotel so close to the centre of town.

An extraordinary and surprising hotel, that you would never except to find in a small place like Trinidad. A small 5 star hotel with an incredible level of client care with really good food and buffet. In conclusion I would say that it was an excellent surprise and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

We traveled around Cuba for 20 days in August 2009. During this time we stayed in 9 different hotels. This was the best in treatment, rooms, food, facilities and building…free internet! Unbeatable.

I stayed at this hotel in May 2008. It is really one of the best you can find in Cuba. The hotel is beautiful and has an excellent location, as well as great rooms. Breakfast is a bit dodgy, as there is no cook there to prepare an omellette or fried egg for you. They have to go prepare it in the kitchen and it takes too long. An unfortunate little detail.

I was at Ancon in January 2008 and desperately looking for a place that I could hook my portable pc to Internet. I talked to Hugo at Ibrerio Star and he said they were soon to have wireless access. When that happens can someone let me know ? I have not found anyplace I can hook up my pc. All the near by hotel have a station with no much on it and for example, I had some text attachment files in hotmail I could not even open to see them. Also needed a taxi at late at night and the people at the front desk were very nice to set that up for me even if I was not staying there. Richard

Great hotel. After a while of roughing it a bit, it was marvelous to step into this luxurious, comfortable and comforting hotel during our honeymoon trip. We were given a beautiful large room with huge bed and bathroom and access onto the outdoor terrace from which we could view what seemed to be a spontaneous carnival outside complete with spontaneous rain storm. Staff were very helpful in giving me a connection for my sleep apnea machine. Great looking restaurant with fine menu – but pricey. Trinidad is a fantastic place to visit – but the heat was scorching. To know you had a cool hotel to return to intensified our enjoyment of this colonial gem of a town. And the hotel itself, while maintaining a high international standard – was careful to protect its conlonial Cuban atmosphere – with fountain in the lobby, potted palms, Cuban paintings and more. I would definitely return. Truth is you could stay in one of the many casa particulars in Trinidad – but we wanted to spoil ourselves, asd this place fit the bill.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel last month. It is without a doubt the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at in Cuba. It has loads of charm, the food is splendid and the employees extremely kind. The truth is that we loved it!!!
