Your Arrival:
The ride from the airport was a very short one. We were the first hotel, so we got to our hotel in less than 20-25 minutes. Upon arrival we were literally "whisked” away to the VIP lounge where Royal Service guests registar. The staff were so incredibly nice, warm, and welcoming. So professional. We were given a briefing on everything we would need to know and we were brought three gorgeous drinks on a platter which were amazing. We met our "butlers” who told us to call for anything we needed. We were so impressed by the welcome we recieved. Great first impression!
Rooms:
We were in Villa 50 in the Royal Service section. Room was unreal! Gorgeous. We were upgraded at no charge to a one bedroom master suite. All marble. We had a kitchen, living room, dining rooom, huge bathroom, dressing area, jazcuzzi, huge bedroom and beautiful patio which looked onto the most gorgeous gardens. The fridge was stocked with all beverages, water, ect. We also had a free bottle of rum, which was wonderful. Room was spotless. So clean you could eat off the floor. Two LCD tv’s. We had a pillow menu to choose from each night, I choose a lavander pillow. The butler would come and infuse your jazcuzzi each night with coconut oil and fresh flowers. Maid would also pick fresh flowers daily for the room.
Restaurants and Bars:
The restauants and bar areas were all just gorgeous. There were so many to choose from it was crazy! No problem getting reservations and you do need them. The Marketplace buffet was fabulous, all fresh cooking, something for everyone. Always good. The seafood rest. was great too, one night we had lobster and maui-maui, soooo good! Staff was incrediable. The Gabi rest was good. Buffet by the beach awful, did not go back. All in all, food was good, not great. Did not matter, the place itself was so amazing we did not care!
Beach/Pools/Grounds:
You will feel as if you died and went to heaven. No pictures can describe how gorgeous this place is. The grounds are heavenly, all manicured so perfectly. So many huge pools. The Gabi pool was great and very private and laid back. Beach was beautiful beyond belief. Lots of chairs, beds, ect everywhere. Never had to rush to get anywhere to save a seat.
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
Lots to choose from, but we did not do any, not enough time! Wanted to soak up the sun and drink good drinks!!!!
Other Comments:
I cannot stress how amazing this property is. Before I went I read alot of bad reviews and all I can say to them now, is NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! You would have to be crazy or a total snob to not like this place and think it is one of the most amazing resorts on earth. I would definitly without a doubt upgrade to Royal Service. They make you feel special and are there for your every need. It is worth every penny. We had the most amazing time, the staff catered to our every need. Interent service was free in the VIP lounge and we were happy to be able to communicate with home as the calling cards were a real hassle. All I can say is HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
