My husband and I travelled there between November 10-17th. We went on a last minute trip for a very good price. The check in was quick since we were the only people from the Air Transat flight. They gave us champagne upon arrival (nice touch) and we were greeted by staff that was not only friendly but smiling.
The room was a good size with a balcony. We had a very good view of the ocean as well as the pool. I had went up early one night and did not hear any of the party downstairs. We were on the 7th floor so this may have helped. There was a menu to order the pillow that you wanted to have but we used the pillows supplied since they were fine, plus they had lots in the room. The room may be a bit dated but it was clean and every night they came and turned down the bed and closed the curtains.
I thought the food was very good and could have stayed for 2 weeks, no problem. The ala cartes were ok but nothing special. The service was very good but I would not have gone out of my way to go if I went back. I staff in the restaurants do work very hard and they were wonderful.
Not too much of a beach is in front of the resort. This I would say is the only downfall, especially if you are a beach lover, on the other hand, you could swim everyday since they did not have much of a surf but there were alot of boats in this cove.
Beautiful, the water was clean, warm and they were spacious. They have an adult pool which is quite large and another pool that matches in size. They had 2 smaller pools that they use for volleyball and the kids had taken over. They even had a Jacuzzi that was hot.(nice)
They made every drink we asked for and they were strong.
There is lots of activities going on as long as people are willing to participate. They have what looked like a good kids club but there weren’t too many kids when were there. I went down the beach during the week and my husband and I had a massage for $55.00 (1 hour and for both of us). This resort is a little farther from Puerto Vallarta but we took a bus into town often and it only cost us 1.00 US one way for the both of us. Cab’s were about 10.00 one way.
No problems with bugs but we did not stay on the beach.
We had a great time even with the high humidity and I would go back in a second.
