Panama Update Anyone? | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

I don’t see a lot of action on this forum, but I was hoping someone might have some general info on Panama. After 12 trips to Cuba, we are taking advantage of a visit to Toronto to try a new destination. We are considering the Royal Decameron and would appreciate any suggestions or advice. I will post specific questions once I know if anyone is out there!!

This forum has been pretty quiet. Unbelievable. We are heading back to Panama in January, but trying a different resort. Been to the Royal Decameron four times – loved it, definitely would go back.

Thank bothI replied to you Bebbie.Bill, I saw your pics in another link, it looks like a nice resort. One concern we have in choosing most resorts is if there is enough shade at the pools and beach?

Thanks again

RD is a huge resort with plenty of shade around. As they said at a welcome briefing once, there are enough chairs for everyone – you might not necessarily get one where you want to be, but walk further and you will find shade. The one beef I have are the people who take extra chairs so they can put all their stuff on……often leaving the shade without any chairs.

Hi valleyguy: there is a lot of shade at this resort, be it at the beach or pool. I have been to many, many island and Mexican resorts but never seen so many chairs or places for shade, as the Royal Decameron. We spent two weeks there last Feb. and going back again this Feb. (in 32 days, but who is counting?) and never had a problem finding a place to lay down, no matter what time of day.
Happy Traveling – Ron

Sorry for delay in a reply but just back from St Maarten. You should have very little trouble in finding a covered chair out of the sun.
