Arrival: Jan 10-17 2009 Arrival went smooth as we had done this before and knew what to expect. Departure was agonizingly slow. Stood in line at the ticket counter for about 2 hours upon departure from Punta Cana. Sky Service was slow and seats were cramped, but who cares..it was a great week.
Rooms:
This was our second time at this resort. For whatever reason, we got an upgrade and our room was fantastic. King size bed, gardenview, living room/bedroom. Very clean with good room service. Just leave a tip of a buck a day.
Restaurants and Bars:
Never went to any of the specialty restaurants. All the food there could be found in the main buffet which was good.
Beach/Pools/Grounds:
Pool has no swim up bar. It is kept nice and cold. The beach is fantastic.
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
No tours. Just beach volleyball at the Riu Taino next door (better volleyball court!!)
Other Comments:
For the extra few bucks, this place was well worth it. The Riu Taino and Bambu are nice as well, however only the Palace people could go to those resorts, not vice versa.
