I am waiting for 4 weeks to pass so I can be in this tropical paradise. This will be my 4th or 5th trip to Riu PlayaCar. I was there in 2004 and 2005 before Hurricane Rita. Then I heard the beach had had a terrible erosion problem so we didn’t want to be disappointed. Last March, we were there during the start of spring break, it was as lovely as ever. PlayaCar is the smallest of the Riu properties in town. The food is good, service is good, and friendly. They have added and Asian restaurant. The beach is beautiful white sand. It is possible to walk the beach from the hotel to town. Town is 10 minutes from the hotel. The town is busy and a nice change of pace.

The food was good and service was great and the evening shows were worth taking in. It was very quiet and we had an enjoyable stay

Rather speedy had to wait your turn
Rooms:
clean the staff went our of their way. They made animal towels for us and for my husbands birthday they left a small gift and strawberries.
Restaurants and Bars:
We had a wonderful young lady each evening that went out of her way she was so sweet.
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
our rep from Sunwings could of been a little more helpful and that he messed up one of our tours therefore we were one short which was no big deal,
