Basically where do you live (where from)? Are you loyal to a certain travel company or only bargain shop your trips? Do you use an agent or book online yourself? Are you loyal to only 1 resort or do you like to work your way down the beach and try them all?
Do you stay on resort or go exploring on your own (excursions not included)

We are from Canada… and on our 5th trip to the DR. I bargain shop our trips online and book through Sears Travel. We like Transat because they offer a direct flight instead of stopping in Toronto. We have done West Jet through Toronto but it was a nightmare. We like to try different places along the beach but have returned to 1 hotel once because we were travelling with kids and we knew it was a good one to be at with children. On our last trip my husband and I ventured into town for an evening… but that was the only time we have done that so far.

From Canada as well. We usually shop around online and then book through Flight Centre. The only company I won’t book with is Sunwing. Too many horror stories. We usually try a different resort each time we go down. can’t wait for May 2015!

I usually travel like a pro but when I started first as a solo traveler that one step was difficult for me. But, now I have learnt a lot about traveling. I prefer booking trips with some tour companies that provide you fully guided tours and staying at hostels rather than expensive hotels.
