This isnt one of your mega resorts. Nor is it for someone looking for Ritz Carlton levels of opulance. This is one of the best resorts in the Carribean. Service is fantastic. The food is some of the best that i have ever eatin. The ambiance is about as romantic as can be had anywhere in the world. Each of the only 12 rooms/suites has its own character, and is totally individual from the next. With only 12 rooms/suites, at anytime you are made to feel like you are the only one there. It gives the feeling of visiting a rich friends luxury estate. The view, situated on the top of the western cliffs of jamaica, is about as breathtaking as anything you have ever seen anywhere. This is the place that you would bring your spouse and totally relax and escape from the everyday of the world. Various features like an exclusive cave dinner (ultra romantic), the Avida Spa services, and the all-inclusive meal & drinks service make you feel like royalty…And did i mention the food? I hope to get back there as soon as humanly possible. Patrick Lawrence

Room Number:
Birds Nest
Room Block:
Each room has a name, not a number
Arrival:
Arrived in Montego Bay, and had a private cab/bus ride to the resort.
Rooms:
Each room has its own individual character. From the hand made furniture, to the local artwork, to the wonderful bath space. You forget that you are staying in a hotel. Most rooms have the stunning ocean view over the cliffs.
Restaurants and Bars:
There are only two resturants; the breakfast/lunch gazebo and the dinner ‘platform’. Both overlook the ocean. For breakfast and lunch you are offered 2 or 3 choices, but anything can be created upon request. All choices are simply delicious. For dinner you are offered two apps and 2 entres, but again, mostly anything requested can be created. However, i deeply insist that you go for the ‘combo’ and try both entres, as each are usually some of the best food you would have ever tasted. Unforgetable.
Beach/Pools/Grounds: The grounds are exceptionally well kept and clean. If it werent for the specatcular view over the cliffs, the grounds would require a long stare all for themselves. There is no beach, the cliffs have steps carved out of them, along with sunning areas, for access to the ocean below. Or you can dive right in from various leveled jump points from the cliffs; 5, 10, 20, 30 feet drops.
There is one small salt water pool along with a jacuzzi. It is nice for relaxing and enjoying the view as well.
Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
This resort is more about romantic togetherness and relaxation than any list of activities or excursions. However, snorkeling gear is provided for swimming in the water below, along with exploring the cave system that traverses underneith the resort. Paul, the watersports instructor, also gives guided snorkeling tours weekly, and is ready and very willing to take anyone who wants to explore. The resort can also set up any type of excursion or activity requested by a guest, no problem.
Other Comments:
If you are looking for a resort with all kinds of planned activities and things going on all day and night. this isnt the resort for you. but if you are looking for a different kind of experience, one that includes some wonderful romantic togetherness with your spouse, and a total and full escape from the busy world we live in, then this place will fit what you are needing.
