A normal hotel with some troubles in the security, they should advice at the arrival about the risks that exist if some people meet you saying that they are members of the hotel staff. Mostly they are antisocials that use to take advantage of the ingenuity of some people. It happens to me quite near the hotel, although these experience doesn’t deny the warm treatment that I received at the hotel and the wonderful mojitos I taste there. "

The Hotel is in the "modern" Vedado section of Havana, from which it takes its name. The welcoming lobby and efficient staff means that check in is quick and painless; 5 minutes was all it took me to have my travel voucher procesed, and I was on my way to my room. The room was quite small, but very comfortable with en suite bathroom and television. Some of the rooms overlook the older parts of the city. The breakfast buffet was excellent; a wide choice of hot and cold items were available, and hot food prepared to order by the very personable lady chef. The Hotel is just five minutes walk from the Malecon, is near the main shopping area and the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
The best part about the Hotel was the excellent value it offered; a single room, bed and breakfast cost a mere $35!
