Where to go with the girls from work. HELP I need help from all you experts. As you see I have been too Cuba more than a few times :D….but the girls have not. What they are looking for 1. Price, must be under $900per person (all taxes in) 2.Beach…that’s not hard but looking for something they can try out snorkeling from beach. 3.If possible no single supplement. 4. Good food. I know its a tall order and I have been looking. We are looking on leaving Sat March 28/15 for 1 week.Thanks everyone Angie |

| I think it is unlikely you will find a place with no single supplement for that date. Generally the SS doesn’t get dropped until later in the spring. Fall is the best time to travel and avoid the supplement.
Other than snorkelling, are there specific activities you are looking for? Good off the beach snorkelling at the Guardalavaca resorts. Excellent off the beach snorkelling at Jibacoa, but it is isolated there and not much to do at night. Good food…….hmm, depends on your definition. Blau Costa Verde meets your criteria and is right on your budget for that date….. |

Agree with ‘eeeefarm’ on Guardalavaca area. Always lots to do (or not). I was going to suggest Club Amigo Guardalavaca (Tropical room or better). It’s priced affordably and lots of bars & dining options. Don’t know about the ss…. |

| Well …… Playa Costa Verde would work – nice resort would workas would Memories Holguin – but uncertain about their food as have not stayed there.
And depending on the # going ….if more than 10 often you can get a "group" rate which will drop the rate a bit. |

| I just did a quick search on the Nolitours and Transat Holidays websites. Their respective brochure includes a list of resorts with no single supplement, there are several to choose from. Whether you’ll be able to get one for the price you’re looking for really depends on one thing: supply and demand!

| OMG You guys here on Debbie’s are the best!!!! All of you have great suggestions. I was thinking ofHolguin area too. There are 6 of us and flying out of Toronto or even Hamilton would be better.Thanks again…

erieangle: have a look at Trip Central (making sure your departure airport is HAMILTON). You can than find out exactly what is flying from Hamilton and then pick an attractive price for you. Do a mock booking stating you’re a single traveller and keep looking until you get the place you want. Then just call Trip Central (they do have a Hamilton office) and tell them you want 6 rooms all at single supplement. We try and fly out of Kitchener as often as we can, but the smaller airports have limited airlines flying. This might save you a lot of time and money. Let us know how you make out and I hope you find some great options. BTW: Can’t the girls double up if there is no SS? |
