jerk chicken | Debbie's Caribbean Resort Reviews Forums

anyone know how to make it at home? any recipes????

thanks!

Anyone ever try the Jerk Chicken Sauce that is put out by Loblaws? It’s in a blue labeled bottle, in the marinade section. I have been tempted to pick it up and try it, but don’t know how good it is or how close it would taste to the real thing.

Try it out and tell us what you think of it And I did…..hot as hell. I like spicy food…but this was crazy hot. Is this what it’s like in Jamaica? Is there like a mild and a hot jerk sauce or?

Defn going to try it either way when I am there… ;D

from what i hear it’s spicy but very tasty!!! i hat hot sauses that are just HOT and no flavor!

Hey monctonguy, you have me craving the sauce now. When I go shopping this week I will have to buy the bottle and try it out.

The best Jerk I’ve had is Busha Browne’s from the island itself, they import it here but it’s tedious to find. Another decent one is Hot Mama’s Scotch Bonnet Jerk sauce. They make it in Pefferlaw but the peppers are apparently imported weekly from Jamaica. check them out @ hotmamas.caSunluvr

mmm sounds good.. cant wait to try it

Hey Jetpilot….did you try out the jerk sauce??..How does it compare to the real thing in your opinion?

Yes, I did end up buying the bottle of the jerk sauce. In my opinion it does have some "heat" to it. The taste is pretty good. I am going to think of a way to "water it down" a bit. As for the real thing, I have never had a chance at that sampling yet. I hope to go to Jamaica next year.

It’s great……at the Bahia, the chicken/pork isn’t too spicy at all. actually probably less spicy than the bottle that you buy. But then you can add the sauce later and make it as mild or spicy as you want…..defn something that was very good!
