I just want a nice beach, a place to dive/snorkel I prefer a place where I can see and hear the ocean from my room.I have also been looking at a few non AI, on cozumel. BUT with that your not getting to stay right on the water, which stinks. I guess I wouldn’t totally rule it out. I just wish there was some place real small, that was still on the water.

| Cozumel is relatively easy to navigate as it isn’t that large. However, it is busy, with people, and people and people.Look at some of the threads about driving. You really have to be a defensive driver to drive where traffic laws do not apply unless you are A. In an accident B. caught by the police.I paid about 80.00 from executive car rental on the island for a nice 4 door sedan. You can pay less or more based on what you want. Personally the more metal I have between me and other drivers the better.IMHO, if you are not generally a confident driver, able to make quick judgements, I would take a taxi wherever you need to go. | hey ive been keeping an eye on the allegro too. A cheap cheap deal out of minneapolis for 800.00/pp for a week.I have stayed on cozumel many times just not at the allegro. Been by it but not stayed.

Corruptness is still a big problem, and in a place where it is so easy to disappear I am thankful that you were able to maintain your calm, and use your travel smarts.I hope inexperienced travelers can learn from your experience. I don’t ever promote using an internet supplier, as situations are far better handled by a good reputable travel agent who can act on your behalf. From what you have said, I don’t understand why Redtag is to blame for anything.You should never write anything when you are angry or in your case angry for some one else.
I do know the response Sunwing is going to give these people, and they need not think they will get some sort of financial compensation. Thats why having a good travel agent who is knowledgeable and has some clout can resolve the matter for all parties. Hit the nail on the head. It is quite impossible to explain an exact situation 3rd party.As a seasoned traveler myself, I find that you have to be your own advocate. No one is going to do it for you. If you are getting less than satisfactory service, or are being shuffled around then you make your voice be heard. IMHO if you are going to complain about it, you had better also be doing something about it. Actions speak louder than words.Far too often travelers do not speak up for themselves. As for the luggage, that is also your responsibility. The luggage is yours, and has your possessions in it, would you let a child be taken care of the same way? Deputy |

| Depends on the resort. Some offer free wireless, some you have to pay. According to the website, you have to pay for access. Taking any high $$ items with you on vacation is a risk. Unless you keep it on your person 100% of the time, you are taking a risk.Unfortunately, not all resort staff, every where are honest, and that is where you can lose something.Although I have not had anything physically stolen off from me, or from my room. I have had my CC# stolen.Really is it worth the hassle? If she wants to get on the internet, just use the computers at the internet cafe.Good luck deciding!

Cheers Had to be after january, cause there were kids in the hot tub when we were there over new years. Not that it matters.I think this will be a terrific resort as an adults only. Usually that doesn’t bother me, but I truly believe this will enhance the resort! Deputy |

| No, they are not adults only. That’s where we stayed last new years.I too am anxious for the review. I know they were going thru a lot of changes when we were there, and I hope that it has improved.
